This one over here is my very favorite. The base of it is actually a great vinery, which is really, cools because it is all this kind of dead and dried out great vines but of course, we had to take it up a notch, we added some black feathers all around the edge. Because black feathers, you know, they seem Halloween like nothing else.
But my favorite part about this rift is you busted out the family photo album and really customized it. you’ve got all kinds of fun picture and they’re all inside this really kind of cool but local frames which you can find at the craft store. Now the fun part about it is obviously the pictures inside. And how we got that is, we got old photo’s and we make black and white copies of them.
You could scan them in on you’re computer and pin them out. Then put them in the picture. You don’t want to use the real thing because the next thing were going to do, were going to put wiggly eyes on them.
Now over here you can see this little goggle eyes we would just glue them right on top of Aunt Edna here and now she looks extra creepy, a little whacky but we already knew that about our Aunt Edna.
And so now this rift is so cute you can hang it—you could hang it on your door. But it’s also kind of cool to hang it in the house so that everybody can kind of take time and appreciate it and really get a good look at all the photos and good a laugh about it, it’s a really fun thing to have for your family.
You can also take this idea and you can incorporate it into a chandelier if you wanted. Get the same photos, put them on the front, and back sides of black matt board. Now with that matt board you can do things like burn the edges of your photo’s and make it look kind of old and creepy.
And then tie a piece riming to the matt board and hang it from the different lens of our chandelier. It’s nice and creepy looking and it’s going to be quite a little conversion starter at dinner. This year when you are getting yourself all ready for Halloween thinking about your outfit, which you might like to wear. Don’t forget about what you’re doormat like to wear, he wants a new pretty rift too.
