Halloween Flower Decoration Ideas

Nitsa Knoch: Halloween is a fun time of year here around Jordan. It’s not only a John Jordan’s favorite holiday to celebrate but it’s also mine because it’s my birthday weekend. So, if you’re planning a Halloween party at home I’m going to show you a few tips to make your Halloween party a little bit more glamorous.

So what I’m going to teach you today is how to create a couple of really sleek arrangements that are very easy, something you could do, not only for Halloween but any time of year. First thing I’m going to do is start off with aquafoam which is a very easy way to create a very beautiful sleek arrangement. Now I’m going to cut the foam into a perfect little square that will fit in my tray. These little trays are available at flower market and anytime you work with the tray and in the floral foam, what you want to make sure to do is use some tape, the floral tape.

It’s a special tape that secures everything so it doesn’t wiggle so you get a couple of strip here. You just want to do one big cross and then tape it down. So that way, you have your foam secured. Next thing you’re going to do start up by just doing four and then one in the middle and then plugging them all in.

So when using aquafoam it’s great to have a little bit of a shorter stem so usually about three inches is good, the longer you go just know that you’re going to have less light off the flower and then what we end up having here is the full beautiful pink cushion look so when you do this you want to make sure to get enough roses because it doesn’t seem like it’s very many but right here there are approximately four dozen roses. You can do this for any sort of dinner party, it doesn’t even have to be Halloween. You can do white roses, hydrangeas just as very sleek look as beautiful.

If you only have clear vases at home and you want to create a darker look don’t be afraid to use water with food coloring. It’s very easy to do. So here we have a little bit of blues and reds to create almost like a dark purple black color. So then, it gives you the look of working with the dark vase even though you don’t have the dark vase.

My first choice would be ordering the dark black of the car roses for Halloween because they’re almost black but if you don’t have kind of special order them this is floral spray. Make sure to shake it and you want to hold it far away enough, just give it a light spray and what you’ll see is you’ll create a little bit of a darker effect. You’ll get a little bit of black on the tip, which looks really nice especially at night no one would ever know that you use this spray.

When you’re coming up with the theme for a party sometimes it’s a little bit hard you don’t have time to think of what theme am I going to do for Halloween or what theme am I going to do for my Christmas party. So one really easy way to go about it which is beautiful is just coming up with your favorite color.

So for this inspiration, it’s red, a blood, a deep red so we’re doing a lot of our red cocktail, a lot of red roses but if you’re going to a Christmas party perhaps working with all silvers or all purples and just including that with every single thing you do you don’t really need a seam just by using a color it is a dramatic effect.
