Hello, my name is Tina and my company provides writing and proofreading services. Today, we’re going to talk about how to write a business letter. In the first clip, we’re going to talk about what is a business letter and why do you write one. Then, we’re going to show you how to address the business letter. In the next clip, we’re going to talk about the main text of the letter. That includes the introduction, the body and the conclusion. In the next clip we’re going to talk about the closing of letter. This includes what type of salutation to use, as well as where to format your signature. And finally, in the last clip we’re going to talk about a couple of steps you can do before you send that letter of. Some of the materials that you’ll need for this project will include computer, s well as the Word processing programs such as Microsoft Word. You’ll also want to have a couple pieces of scratch papers in handy so that you can take some notes down along the way. A couple of safety tips before we begin. Pay special attention to ergonomics, make sure that your lower back is supported and that your shoulders are relaxed. Another tip, make sure that the top of your computer screen is slightly below or at eye level. My background includes more than 10 years of writing and proofreading experience. I have a degree in English with the concentration in career writing from the San Jose State University. I’m a former journalist and I currently provide writing and editing services to clients throughout the Bay area.\ So let’s get started.
