Grossly Gloomy and Gray Bathroom

Save my Bath

Krista: This dull and gray space has been transformed into a colorful bathroom
that matches David and Kiersten’s personalities. Once we added in all the
new products the total cost of this renovation came to about $28,000.

David: The old bathroom was so gray that the idea of more gray just concerned
me and also I wanted something more raw but I totally really liked the
floor then.

Kiersten: Yeah but why did you like it?

David: Because it looks like the surface of the moon. One of my favorite things
would definitely be that sink is no longer over there by the window.

Kiersten: And there’s not a third floor.

David: So we only got 2 doors now and our washer and dryer are still back there
but entry you know it’s on the other side fixtures coming right out of the
wall, amazing, absolutely amazing.

Kiersten: It’s also like a water fountain.

David: It is you could bend down and drink from it. Artwork.

Kiersten: The painting, I love this.

David: Yeah it’s a great transition from our just gray marble wallpaper. The funny
thing about the stripe I think is as once everything kind of got into the
bathroom it doesn’t look like a stripe to me anymore.

Kiersten: I think the green strip that goes around the perimeter of the room really
gives it a very unique and sort of artsy flare.

Did you remember when the tub would come to like right here?

David: Yeah the tub pretty much came to that door and then all the way to the
shower.

Kiersten: And now look at this.

David: And so we’ve got plenty of space now.

Kiersten: If Krista were what should she be doing, doing a dance like this.

David: Oh no.

Kiersten: Showing off all the space.

David: Yeah.

Kiersten: But I think I made the right decision in this tub I think it fits well and we
still have space to go in between the shower and the tub or you’re going ot
actually get up now and look forward to showering.

David: I’ll jump out bed at 6 a.m. and run to the shower and I’ll spend an hour
there just luxuriating it.

Kiersten: Look at you.

David: It’s great.

Kiersten: You can actually move around in there.

David: You got space, you don’t feel like you’re locked into some kind of an odd
like little tiny pod.

Krista: Corner closet. It’s a really awesome new trend in bathroom design to have
a larger shower space and we really are incorporating that in this
bathroom.

David: The other really, really cool thing.

Kiersten: The track light.

David: The track light is just perfect. So you can clean and I actually really like
that it’s just, it gets just square like that and just kind of works against the
shower and everything.

Kiersten: I don’t think it matches the rest of our house. I think we got to catch up
now.

David: It’s amazing and I don’t think I could be happier.

Kiersten: Krista and Steven.
