Google, you’ve heard of those guys, announced Wednesday it will release what’s basically their version of Wii Sports. The difference is Chrome Supersync Sports runs in your desktop browser and you use your smartphone or tablet as the controller. Techcrunch called Chrome Supersync Sports  “ what happens when you put modern web technology, smartphones and a love of 80s sports games into one. ” Fine. I’ll bite. What’s it look like? “Run, run...Swim, swim...Cycle, cycle!” ( Video via YouTube/googlechromuk ) Well, it looks more fun than working...or actual exercise for that matter. So, how do you win? Don’t overthink it. Google explained “ To move your athlete forward and win the race, you need to make the correct gestures as quickly as possible.” ( Via Social Karma Media ) Surprisingly, you don’t have to install Google Chrome as your browser. Geek.com says the concept isn’t particularly new, except Sports is smoother and more responsive than previous apps. This isn’t the first time Google has experimented in the gaming world. That distinction belongs to the search giant’s Ingress project. And Sports seems much lighter what Google’s done in the past. No official word on why Google released Sports when it did other than Google gots to get paid, son!
