I mean each week you start a golf tournament you start with nothing and I came away with a second place finish and a bunch of world ranking points and played some really really good golf. When you've led for three days and don't win there's definitely a little sting in the tail there there's no doubt about it. I just felt on Sunday for the most part very good, I made some great decisions out there, I felt calm, felt comfortable, hit some good putts on the back nine, kind of one of those weeks where it didn't add up to the result. I think that's why it's dangerous to always live and die by the result, if I get too disappointed about not winning it's not going to help my year ahead, so if I look at it positively there's some great stuff I can build on going forward." 2. (SOUNDBITE) (English) ERNIE ELS SAYING: "I mean it's a tough course, I believe it's one of the tougher ones in the Middle East. It seems like the wind blows a bit more and to score is quite difficult, the par fives most of them are unreachable, so you just have to be really patient and just hope when the chances come you can make birdies. I've had a couple of good finishes but you have to, as I say, have your whole game here." 3. (SOUNDBITE) (English) SERGIO GARCIA SAYING: "I'm excited about it, I've played the course for a while now, it's the kind of course I've done fairly well most of the year so it would be nice to do well again and hopefully have a chance of winning here, see if I can do a little better there, but yes I'm excited." STORY: Justin Rose said on Tuesday (January 22) that his decision to start his 2013 season at the European Tour's desert swing was vindicated by his second place finish in Abu Dhabi last week. The 32-year-old Briton began his season in the Middle East for the first time since 2009 when he played the Abu Dhabi Championship, and despite being beaten to the title by Jamie Donaldson, was upbeat about his performance. Rose will be looking to maintain his good form in Doha where he has missed the cut on his four previous appearances at the Qatar Masters (in 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2009). South Africa's 2012 British Open champion Ernie Els will be aiming to win the tournament for a second time after winning on his debut at the event in 2005, and is hoping that his experience of the tricky course will put him in contention.
