Dave Marsh: If you don't have a great attitude walking onto the green, believe me you're not going to go and meet your potential. That's a really great position because the putter is then grounded out and it's just trying to climb on its up swing.
You have five ways to get a great attitude of putting. Let's give you video number one. Somebody once told me that golf should be fun, five ways to develop the great putting attitude. This is video number two. It's all about trust, you can trust yourself to pull the trigger, well then you are going to go ahead and make a lot of putt.
Five ways to develop the great putting attitude, this is video number 3. You got to remember that putting is so important, it's what finishes off every tournament, and it's what finished off every hole. Five ways to get a great putting attitude, this is video number four. Sometimes you have got to switch off the source of technique and you just got to role the ball. 5 ways to develop a great putting attitude, this is video number five and probably my favorite. When you miss a putt, I want you to be energized and inspired rather than probably what you are at the moment which is depressed and demotivated.
If I offer you 1000 bucks for every putt you missed, I am sure you'll get that attitude then. I am just having some fun hitting, that's a pretty good putt as you can see, difficult to actually get the ball into the hole. Now, once you drop the golf ball, your really feel like you can't miss, so we just center that and the weight, look out how it just wants to get in to the hole there. However, anyone nut can just practice drills all day. What it's about is making putt. Let me show you how to make putt.
In it goes, all day long. There is a great chance, that's going in. Watch it break, watch it break, there it goes, that's two in a row. You know I am going to make this, don't you? Breaker, breaker, breaker, breaker, breaker, there it is. What putt you uses it for; it uses it to control this release. So softness is all a short game, you don't see very many good short game players that are tight, they get the club and strangle it, it's all about softness. You just putt with the left hand, what are you trying to do is keep a really good angle in that wrist there, then we are just going to go ahead and hit it, look at the angle I have maintained there. Think about the way you want to move forward and going to be best putter than you can be.
