ERIC STROMER: Hey, Eric Stromer here with another GMC Trade Secret.
I’m going to teach you how to build a spice rack just like this to go on a rollout pantry or on the back of a door. It’s very, very simple to do. Come on. I’m going to show you how.
It is now time to assemble our spice rack. Keep in mind, whenever you’re doing cabinetry, and in our case this spice rack, it’s just like you’re assembling a box out of plywood. Now, this is three-quarter-inch oak plywood. It matches our existing cabinetry around us. That’s what we’re going to use; also safety glasses and a push stick. You want to make sure you keep your hands up and away from the blade – dangerous if it’s too close when you’re cutting a narrow piece like this, okay.
Two pieces of three inches. I want to double-check this. Oh, yeah. It’s perfect. Table saw goes on. It is time to cut.
Now that the spice rack is complete, I’m going to install it on the bottom platform of my rollout pantry.
The spice rack looks fantastic. That’s your GMC Trade Secret, brought to you by GMC’s Sierra. And speaking of building, if you like to build stuff, you can build your own Sierra at GMC.com. Check it out.
