Do you want to create some abundance and harmony in your life? Why not fall back on some of the ancient principles of feng shui, which is the flow of energy, or chi, through the home and through your life?
For example, in your bedroom, a lot of feng shui masters talk about not having a ceiling fan because it disturbs the flow of energy or chi through your bedroom. So if you do have one in the bedroom, shut it off and open the windows and make that the way that you get ventilation into the bedroom.
Another key element in feng shui in a bedroom situation is the placement of the bed. It’s a great idea to have equal spacing on either side of the bed. Then each partner feels comfortable and in an equal situation in that relationship.
A great thing to think about too is what’s underneath the bed. You want to keep it as clear and clean as possible. For example, if there are dust bunnies under there, make sure you sweep them out and keep this always very, very tidy. And if you do have to store stuff, make sure it’s stuff like soft goods – sweaters, comforters, things that are soft, free of hard edges.
If you’re single and you want to create abundance and a new relationship in your life, think about taking 25 percent of your closet out to make room for somebody who could potentially walk into your life. It’s a very simple concept. Clutter makes chi go away. Keep the closets clean. Also, lastly, at night, when you want to go to sleep at night, close off that closet. It just makes the whole bedroom tranquil and the energy so much better in the bedroom.
