Hi! This is Edward Loh and we are here at the 2009 Chicago Auto Show and I am in the GM Booth. Now behind me as you can see, is Bumblebee one of the stars of the Transformers movie.
Now here at the GM Booth are few other characters in the sequel to Transformers. Transformers 2, Revenge of the Fallen. There is of course, Bumblebee, which is based on the Camaro vehicle. There is also a character based after the Chevy Volt it's known as Jolt. And there are two other minor characters based off of the Chevy Beat and Trucks, one is Mudflap, the other is Skids, I can't tell them apart.
The real stand out, both here in the booth and in the Transformers 2 movie, is the Stingray concept Corvette behind me. Now this is an homage to the 1959 Stingray and also several other Corvettes of that era.
And you could see in its really curvy lines and beautiful styling. Now designer Ed Welburn told me that when director Michael Bay came to tour GM's design studios, when he saw this vehicle he knew we had to have it in a movie and it's easy to see why.
