Hi. This is Mike Callahan, Dr. File Finder. Welcome to part nine of our special ten part Butterscotch.com series on Windows Live.

Now in this segment, I’m going to look at spaces. So from your Windows Live homepage, click on More, go to Spaces. Spaces gives you a way to have your own place on the internet. Here it is, Dock Space. You can view your space. You’ll see that I’ve customized my little boot with a nature theme. It gives e a dark border up there and some leaves in the back.

With your space, you can choose a web address. And if it’s available, that will be the web address for your space. So you pick that. I’m waiting to decide something good. You can edit your profile. You can go up here. You can have a blog. There is my theme. Here is my little sample blog entry I made. You have your friends. You can share photos. You can add a list. You can create a guestbook so that people who have visited your space can sign in. You can share files with your family and friends and you can add other modules. And we’ll click on that. And you’ll see here that there’s an entire list of things that you can add to your space; music list, video list, photos. You can add categories for your blog, archives. You can add gadgets like weather, stock quotes, quote of the day, horoscopes. You can do things from Xbox Live. You can add all of these things to your space. And when you’re done, you can just click Save and your changes are there.

So this is my private space on the web. It’s all part of Windows Live. When I want to I just click Home and I can go back to my Windows Live home page. And that includes part nine.
