The man charged with murdering Trayvon Martin is being forced to surrender by Saturday after a judge revoked his bond -- on grounds of deception. George Zimmerman was released from jail after collecting more than $200,000 on his donation PayPal account and posting $150,000 bail. HLN and the Zimmerman prosecutors have more on the case...

“We have the jail calls the defendant made to his wife and to other people ... in which he repeatedly tells [Shelley Zimmerman] about the money, about moving the money, and transferring it from one position to the other...”

Assistant special prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda argues the defense constructed a “blatant lie”.
At an earlier bond hearing, Zimmerman’s wife says the couple was almost destitute. There was no mention of a large amount of money being donated to Zimmerman. TIME says...

“Originally, Zimmerman was released on $150,000 bond, but that was based on the belief that he had no money to post it. If the court had known the amount he had access to, [Prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda] argued, his bail should have been set much higher.”

Zimmerman’s attorney, Mark O’Mara, says his client was confused and this was an innocent misunderstanding. O’Mara argued Zimmerman would not pose any risk or danger if he was set free.  But USA Today says Judge Kenneth Lester was not convinced.

“He can’t sit back and obtain the benefit of a lower bond based upon those material falsehoods.”  

Fox News says O’Mara argued the Zimmerman’s never used the money, which indicates “there was no deceit.”

“I do think that the Zimmerman family was acting with the constraints they thought they had. I don’t think that they had free access to that money and I think that was evident by the way that they used it and didn't use it.”

According to the New York Times , Benjamin Crump, attorney for Trayvon Martin’s family, says this is a turning point in the case because now it’s all about the credibility of George Zimmerman.

“It is only George Zimmerman’s version that says Trayvon Martin attacked him. We must remember that all of the objective evidence suggests that it was George Zimmerman who profiled, pursued, confronted and shot Trayvon Martin in the heart.”
