A leak in the gutter, I am sure we all had it and you know we do the wrong thing. We go out, we pick up a cork can or galloon can of roof patch and we very simply put a brush into it and we spread it with spackling knife to try and stop the water.

We overlook the fact that we have to bridge those joints—all those areas in there that is overlapped. We want to use the mesh. It is just like a screen mesh that lay’s inside and is layered. And as you layering, you brush on the roof coating, put in the mesh, another coat of roof coating and another layer of mesh until such time you build up a membrane.

Now after curing, bring on the rain. Look at that, that leak has completely disappeared and the secret is really in the mesh folks so do not forget the mesh. It is just that easy.
