Molly McDonald: When deciding on a neighborhood or city to live in, how to get around that area is important to know. If you don't have a car you'll want to make sure there is public transportation. One way to do this is to use a tool that many people use today, Google maps.
Simply enter in the zip code of where are you thinking of moving and then go to the more button and check the boxes next to bicycling and transit. The map has now loaded with all of the public transportation routes and bike lanes. You can click on the various icons on the map to view the train and bus routes to see that was will suit your needs. If available, you will also see freeways close by.
To really tie in with your home search you can also check the box next to real estate and view places for sale in this area and now you can see exactly how you would get around so would you choose to purchase one of these properties. Thanks for watching and don't miss the next episode in the finding a home with online tools series.
