Fashionable Sportswear from Adidas
Veronica Delfino: Adidas is once again bringing fashion into sportswear. Hi! I'm Veronica of Watchmojo.com and today, we’re taking a look at the Fall and Winter collection from Originals by Originals and Stella McCartney.
Stella McCartney has once again added a great collection to Adidas. Now, she’s very feminine and fashionable with her designs. So, is this still something that you can wear at the gym and have a serious workout?
Micki Rivers: So, what she’s really gathered from Adidas is all the technical proportions that we have that are proprietary towards Adidas. So, when you look at a running line or a yoga line, it’s all fabrications that are technical whether its tape seams or is great for outdoor work or it's got wick away properties. That’s the value of the collaboration between the two.
This is a perfect example of style meets performance. This is Stella McCartney workout top but it's also got our tech fit properties and you go, “So, what are all these?” This is all about holding your muscles tight when you’re performing an athletic pursuit and it stops the vibration. My only advice to you as a consumer out there is you better be buffed if you’re wearing this because it shows everything.
Veronica Delfino: Now, because these clothes are so fashionable, are you seeing people wearing them outside of the gym?
Micki Rivers: Typically, what a customer says is “Yeah.” They bought it for running but they’ll actually wear it for lifestyle and going out in the afternoons and then one-sixth sort of worn through it then it sort of ends up in the gym or on the running trails. This is part of Stella McCartney’s running line. Now, I can see myself running in this. It's got great color. You really want that bright color when you're out running. This is actually a running jacket but you know what? I don’t know if I’d be taken seriously running in this one. I think this is lifestyle and I think this is a beautiful piece.
Veronica Delfino: Adidas also has other collections. When would you go into those collections rather than choosing Stella?
Micki Rivers: The originals and the Originals by Originals, there is not much athletic about it. If you look at what Jeremy Scott did, it's really cost to me and really out there but it takes us into a whole different place with how we treat our lifestyle. I'll show you some of those pieces and somebody’s going to say, “Wear that?” You know that’s the lead singer of the band. That’s a celebrity. That’s that piece that’s going to steal the show when you walk in.
This is Jeremy Scott's world dress and shoe. What you’re seeing is you’re seeing a really slim line little knit dress but you’re seeing a high tops sneaker that goes along with it that hooks right up. There's only so many parties you can really wear that to because it is very memorable.
This is the African print of the Giraffe. If you check this little dress, it's actually got a little mitt. So, if you want to be the hit of the party, carry this one on. I'm sure for all of you out there, you recognize this pattern and that’s the color pattern you’d see on the TV screen. It's actually called the TV skirt. It's pretty mini there but it's got lots of color but what they did in this jacket comes an extra small for the girl that wants to wear it. This is the puffy jacket that’s still in style for Fall and we've really gone into town on the colors. So, for the guy or the girl out there, you sure not to be missed on the street.
