Hello, I am John Alderman and I will be your host for this extreme website makeover.
In this training series, we are going to be working with what is now called the Adobe Web Bundle which is composed of Adobe Creative Suite 2 and Macromedia Studio 8 to create a complete website from beginning to end. This training series is intended as a workflow project and we will be using this software much as we would in a real production studio.
If you need more detail training on any of these products, you can visit the total training website at www.totaltraining.com where we offer complete training on the entire Adobe CS line as well as training for Dreamweaver and Flash 8 Professional which I might add is hosted by yours truly.
Our client in this case will be typical. Someone who wants that cool website update, an extreme makeover from ugly duckling to a hip and informative web presence, o0ne that will make existing customers happy and draw in new ones.
Along the way, we will find out how to add all those eye catching features including interactive buttons, pull down menus, video and flash. We will also create designs that are simple to modifiable as changes and challenges appear.
And most importantly, find out to keep the workflow smooth and logical as we move from one application to the next. We will get things rolling by taking a look at what our client currently offers on their website and then we can take a sneak peek at what we will be creating to bring their website forward, taking full advantage of things like CSS style sheets, Java Script and Flash animation. Let us get to know our new client first.
