What Symptoms Did You Have Before Your Heart Attack?

Beverly: Back in 2007, I didn’t really have any symptoms that told me I was going to have a heart attack. My husband and I had been out to dinner, had a wonderful evening, went home and I think I probably changed in a more comfortable clothe because it was a warm time of year. I said, “You know? I'm just not feeling quite right.” My arms were tingling and kind of going numb and he immediately thought he was going to call an ambulance. And I said, “Oh no, we’ll just call the next door neighbor because she’s a nurse.” So, she came over and took one look and she said, “No, we’re calling an ambulance.” I had a spectacular heart attack really. I rested three times; they brought me back three times but I didn’t have any symptoms leading up to it necessarily.

How Was Your Experience At North Colorado Medical Center?

Beverly: Our oldest daughter is a nurse in Omaha Nebraska. She has been employed for many years at the University of Nebraska Medical Center which is a state of the art transplant. It’s a big facility. So, when she had a word that I had my heart attack, she shared this with her colleagues of course and they said, “Oh, little town in Colorado.” But they all got online and start looking and found out that this has a very high rating nationwide. So, she was impressed with that. I am likewise impressed and North Colorado Medical Center has been here for us. No reason to go any place else. It’s a very good facility.
