The 18-month deal that brings Drogba from Shanghai Shenhua includes transfer fees totalling six million euros ($8 million), payments of 15,000 euros per match plus signing on fees of four million euros. Drogba, 34, who has been on African Cup of Nations duty with the Ivory Coast, moved to China after scoring the equaliser and winning penalty against Bayern Munich in Chelsea's Champions League triumph last year. Drogba's move to Galatasaray has been surrounded by controversy and Shanghai Shenhua may take the matter to FIFA. Drogba's transfer comes after Netherlands midfielder and 2010 Champions League winner Wesley Sneijder joined Galatasaray from Inter Milan last month. Galatasaray are due to face Bundesliga club Schalke 04 in the last 16 of the Champions League first leg on February 20. Both players will be eligible to play in the competition for their new club.
