There are several separate buildings dedicated to Irish art found on Kildare Street is one such center the national museum of archeology and history. The building itself is an architectural landmark. The interior is also opulently decorated evoking ancient Rome and Greece.
The national museum of decorative art and history is located at the Collins Barracks. Housed in an 18th century home, the Dublin writer’s museum was established to support interest in Irish literature. Visitors are able to appreciate creative writing from the perspective of a Dubliner. The national gallery of Ireland is very known for its Italian Baroque and Dutch master’s paintings. The museum began modestly with only 105 paintings, but today boasts one of the finest collections of European art.
