Hi! I am Dan with usmusclemods.com. Today we are installing the DiabloSport Predator on a 2005 Mustang GT. The Predator comes pre-tuned with 87 Octane, 91 Octane and 93 Octane tunes.
On the higher Octane tunes you are going to pick up right around 20 hp. The Predator is also internet updatable, so you can get new software updates from the diablosport.com as well as custom programming for a turbocharger or a supercharger.
Your Predator also will allow you to raise rate Rev Limiter for your rpms, raise your Speed Limiter so you can go faster speeds which is useful for the track. And then it will also allow you to adjust the speedometer and recalibrate it for different of size tyres and axles. So, we are going to go ahead and get ahead started in installing it.
Okay, the first step is to take this and plug it into the OBD-II diagnostic port under the dash, which is located just right here.
Here we've got the option where we are going to load the Performance Tune. Press the Enter button, agree to the Disclaimer.
We've got a Manual. Press Continue. Now I can put the key in the ignition and put it into the On position without starting it and press Continue.
I personally use 91 Octane.
Now it's going to download the Stock Program from the vehicle on to the Predator. Now we are going to turn the ignition to Off and press Continue.
I turn the ignition back On.
Okay, now we are going to turn the ignition Off and then On without starting it and press Continue.
Now the original program of to the car has been saved. Now, we are going to install the actual tune. Turn the key to Off and press Continue. Turn the ignition back On.
Okay, now we going to turn the key Off and then back On again without starting it again.
And then press Continue. Okay that's it. So, we hit Continue and now we can unplug the Predator and you can put it inside in your glovebox or your closet at home and you are ready to drive the new programs on the vehicle.
And you can start having a little bit more performance and a little bit better fuel economy as well.
