My name is Brad Ascalon. I am an Industrial Product Designer, Product Designer, Furniture Designer and today, I am going to go through one of the processes I use when I am designing a piece of furniture and I start like most people with pencil and paper. So here it goes, I have a simple design that I am going to use just for the purposes of this demonstration and it is a simple club chair. So what we do is we sketch it out, our first idea, just to get it down on paper. So that is the basic idea for the chair. It is very simple, just get the point across and then from there, we just sketch it out a bit in marker and again this is very preliminary. So nothing is set in stone and it can go through normally literally a hundred transformation before the final product is done. But that is the idea, and it is going to be a club chair. The person is going to be sitting here, arms inside, whatever. Then I bring it in to a three-dimensional sketch.
