Hi, I am Anne, and I am here about to talk about working with moving companies, the good news is they are professionals, they know what they are doing. They will give you a planning guide and a schedule so that you know what your responsibilities are, eight weeks before, six weeks before etcetera. And that you will be able to adhere that to the calendar.
They will make it very clear what their job is and what your job is. You can save money by doing your own packing and labeling in keeping the master list. But be very, very clear in labels so that the movers know which rooms the boxes are to go into in the new house. Make sure you talk to your insurer and make sure that you know what your valuables are. list them separately perhaps take a video camera through the house so that you have a recording of all of your valuables and all of your material and the condition that it is in. have a moving day survival kit and pay particular attention to pets and kids and make sure that they are well taking care of.
Moving can be very stressful but you can make it easy in your self. Work with your movers.
