LITTLE BOY STANDING IN FRONT OF STATUE STORY: New Yorkers fell under the watchful eye of David Beckham on Thursday (August 16) as six three-metre statues were unveiled around Manhattan. Clothing chain H&M is using the silver figures of the former England soccer captain as a way to promote his bodywear collection. Beckham fans and curious onlookers crowded around one of the statues located in the city's Flatiron district. The line was first unveiled during the Superbowl in February of this year. Statues are also on display in Los Angeles and San Francisco. The Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder and world famous trend-setter was left out of Great Britain's Olympic squad but featured in the Olympic Opening ceremony.
