Ben Freedman: Hi, there and welcome to neo-fight.tv, the technology review with two points of view. My name is Ben Freedman.
Tiffany Young: And I'm Tiffany Young. And today’s Friday?
Ben Freedman: Friday!
Tiffany Young: What do we do on Fridays? Email, we love to answer your questions sent to us via email.
Ben Freedman: Yes.
Tiffany Young: So let’s start with the first question.
Ben Freedman: Okay.
Tiffany Young: Okay.
Ben Freedman: Read it away.
Tiffany Young: I will. Thank you.
Ben Freedman: Okay.
Tiffany Young: First question is. I often work at night and keep the lights low as to not to disturbed my wife, very thoughtful.
Ben Freedman: Very thoughtful.
Tiffany Young: Do you have any tips for dark room computing? So, let see. I've got two. One is, don’t compute in the same room that your wife is in because it’s dark and she tries to sleep. The second is -- don’t compute in the dark room, right!
Ben Freedman: Yes. You know, the thing is not a good idea.
Tiffany Young: No.
Ben Freedman: I mean --do you never have compute somewhere where it is dark?
Tiffany Young: No. I don’t know. I mean, I'm sure that you know feeling like in smaller space. You probably do not have an option. But I do have an answer not to be complete smart ass but like I am being. But I do have a solution and that is the keyboard pen.
Ben Freedman: Yes. Sure.
Tiffany Young: You show the keyboard there?
Ben Freedman: I love this --
Tiffany Young: This is actually pretty -- yes, pretty cool product.
Ben Freedman: Can I have this -- this is the Saitek Eclipse Keyboard.
Tiffany Young: Right.
Ben Freedman: And -- what is this -- I mean, it’s very nice high quality keyboard and you can turn on; you turn on-turn off these lights. Now, I don’t know how well you’d be able to see them here. There's light on the side --
Tiffany Young: It’s pretty bright in the studio.
Ben Freedman: Yes, it’s pretty bright in here. And you can adjust the how bright the light that it is on-off. You can adjust the color.
Tiffany Young: Right.
Ben Freedman: Let me see if I can show you this blue. There it is.
Tiffany Young: Oh! It changes based on the mood.
Ben Freedman: Is in red.
Tiffany Young: Little sultry.
Ben Freedman: I don’t know why you able to see that. Let me see like a tip that out a bit more.
Tiffany Young: You see it? If you can't see it, but its red, yes.
Ben Freedman: I’ll put some pictures of it and then look?
Tiffany Young: Purple.
Ben Freedman: Purple.
Tiffany Young: Nice.
Ben Freedman: Yes.
Tiffany Young: So.
Ben Freedman: So, it also has a media keys up here and you can turn the light off if you don’t want to. But you know, you don’t always have the option going to the different room. And I actually sometimes enjoy working in a so dark room. But it’s hard to type if you can't see the keyboard.
Tiffany Young: You're absolutely right. The other solution that is the little LCD, they have a little LCD that we showed that. I show sometime back --
Ben Freedman: The USB light?
Tiffany Young: USB light.
Ben Freedman: Right.
Tiffany Young: Exactly. That you can plug in as well sort of sees over. But you know I have to really say that for -- it’s me have the lights are dimmed. You know, for airport travels inside an airplane.
Ben Freedman: Yes. Also, you're not going to be using this in the airport. I mean, it’s a little --
Tiffany Young: No -- well no, if you travel. If you travel, you know, how they--
Ben Freedman: Now, this is a solid key -- I would want to chat with this because this is solidly built. It’s heavy.
Tiffany Young: Well, I know but if you happen to need it you know, going out overnight flight to Tokyo --
Ben Freedman: I like your idea better than USB light.
Tiffany Young: But yes, USB lights. It’s more affordable for sure.
Ben Freedman: Definitely.
Tiffany Young: Anyway, so our next question is?
Ben Freedman: Our next question is, I need to use my laptop in my car but my batteries always dies, what do you suggests? You know -- I -- there's a couple good solutions to this problem. Most companies that sell laptops, most computer companies will have a mobile charger --
Tiffany Young: Right.
Ben Freedman: That like Dell does and Fujitsu does it. I'm not sure if Apple does or not. But even if not you can usually get a mobile charger that will plug your laptop into this cigarette lighter.
Tiffany Young: Oh, no Apple does.
Ben Freedman: Apple does?
Tiffany Young: Yes, yes.
Ben Freedman: Yes. And that way you can charge your laptop from the car. You know don’t use it while you're driving, obviously.
Tiffany Young: Right.
Ben Freedman: But you can use it.
Tiffany Young: It turns face to go up.
Ben Freedman: Right. So that -- you know, once solution is to use a mobile charger. I know its even wipe out you can travel with your, you know your mobile charger if you hasn’t like this. I mean that that really can suit all your need.
Tiffany Young: Right. Are you talking about a -- well I was going to show that the Smart AC 210.
Ben Freedman: Yes.
Tiffany Young: Is that what you're talking about?
Ben Freedman: No, I'm talking about an actual charger for the laptop that plugs into your car.
Tiffany Young: Oh! Okay, Alright. Here we go, okay.
Ben Freedman: This thing --
Tiffany Young: So this thing is for all the other items that don’t have --
Ben Freedman: Oh, you can plug your laptop into this.
Tiffany Young: Right! I know what's even while you can travel with your -- you know, your mobile charger. If it hasn’t like this, I mean that that really can suits all your need.
Ben Freedman: That’s a good point.
Tiffany Young: So there's two outlets here, one for like a printer or --
Ben Freedman: Plug your printer in.
Tiffany Young: Anything really that you know needs that actual sturdy you know, old fashioned kind of outlet.
Ben Freedman: Well, if you got this, you don’t need a special charger you could --
Tiffany Young: No, no, you don’t.
Ben Freedman: Right.
Tiffany Young: And this is -- it’s 110 volts so standard.
Ben Freedman: Yes, standard regular power. You plug it into your cigarette lighter.
Tiffany Young: You know its light weight. Its compact and you can really kind of travel with it and it’s good to go for.
Ben Freedman: One thing I would say about this thing is that, it uses -- you know, if you're using some power heavy juice devices --
Tiffany Young: Right.
Ben Freedman: Like a printer and a laptop. It’s going to use a couple 100 watts. You may want to keep your car engine running if you're going to do that for the length of time.
Tiffany Young: Right, good idea. Always a good idea.
Ben Freedman: If it’s 10-20 minutes of use not a big deal but its hours.
Tiffany Young: Right.
Ben Freedman: You know this could run your -- its like running a couple 100 watts. It could run your car battery down.
Tiffany Young: Like a head lamps or headlights sort of like that.
Ben Freedman: Sorts like a headlights on.
Tiffany Young: Like that.
Ben Freedman: That’s right.
Tiffany Young: So, anyway, so that’s two solutions really for travel, mobile travel. Keeping your stuff powered up.
Ben Freedman: That’s right! And that’s all the time we have for neo-fight.tv this week but if you happen to want to subscribe to the show, we’d love you to visit our website, www.neo-fight.tv. That’s where you can subscribe to the show.
