Hello Vit Jidkov is here the Plant Doctor with the new video for you. This time it’s a nice very beautiful day last day of April, April 2010 and I want to continue to talk about spider mites today, The Spider Mites are one of the main pest in cucumber green house so this video I’m showing to you from the cucumber greenhouse and again we’re going to talk about the damage with spider mites can do to the plants and what you can do about it.
So let’s see what happened, well this crop already was protected from spider mite before and as you can see this is almost the end three weeks left until we finish this crop but the spider mites are so tricky pests. They always hide and sometimes the good bugs don’t eat them all or miss some of them eggs or some of them and what we start to see, we start to see damage. Damage we can see it, let’s see the other side the first stems you might start to see the yellow spots like this one. Yellow spots on the top of the leaf and when you turn again, you’re going to see a webbing with spider mites in there. And if you don’t control them on time, that’s what going to happen.
So this is the result of heavy mite population. So this spot we did not find it on time sometimes we don’t, we cannot get good bugs on time and that’s what can happen and this result you can get in a week or two from this to this in one or two weeks. So that’s why it’s extremely important to do sculpting in the crop and try to find spider mites very early. And then what we do see here the special caring material when we apply bugs they come with the carrier in the bottle, so it’s very important to find spider mites on time and apply good bugs, good insects in early stage otherwise you going to end up with the crop loss like this.
You don’t have to worry about this part at all, it’s already taken cared off but for you guys who doesn’t know or doesn’t think that spider mites are scary bugs that’s what can happen to your plants so keep an eye on spider mites and check my pest control pages on my website to find more information about the good bugs, the beneficial that can control spider mites.
So that’s it into this video so hopefully you understand that spider mites are very important pests to control and keep an eye on. So hope you enjoyed this video and I’ll see you in the next one. Bye.
