Today we're going to take a look at a wonderful new plug-in which I actually call an advanced work flow by the fine folks at redgaintsoftware.com makers of such stuff as magicable it looks, and they also sell Trap Code you've used particular I am sure, but they have wonderful new plug-in that I've had great time with it last few days and I wanted to just show you how it works. It's not only going to make me money but it going to do it rather quickly as far as the work flow is concerned. I am using a wonderful a prick heat footage by Aharon Rabinowitz who has a prick heat footage royalty free footage called crowd control and you could check that out at allbetsareoff.com. It's a lot of cool stuff. This particular thing that I am working on I needed something like Indian wiping blood all over himself. So may be it's not politically correct so I apologize but its going to be perfect for what I am working on. So anyway, they have got this new plug-in and have you ever had a client that may be wanted you to have the main actor talking to a Hologram of the same actor, -- and yes you can do it but you know it takes little time to really do it right and all that or may be they have some kind of background where they want you to key in or campaign digital sign, type stuff where you have video playing and scan lines something like that.

Well they came with a wonderful tool called Holomatrix and it does it on the fly. So it's very cool. Let's take a look at it. By the way, let me just show you, behind my Indian I have this trees going on in 3D space and you could see how it gets just perfectly keyed, so if you're looking for stuff that's just ready to go, check out at allbetsareoff.com. So a Holomatrix. It's a different kind of a work flow but once you understand it it's not hard at all and I'll just show you why its different instead of just going into effects, presets and typing in what you are looking for, you are going to go - you are not going to find it anywhere in here. You are going to go up here to window at the very bottom it says Holomatrix.jsxbin. It you click on that and it's going to bring up a palette for you. And just bring that next to him and I will just, bring this here a little bit. So now if I wanted to apply Holomatrix, this is what I have to do apply Holomatrix, opps I don't have my later selected so let me select later. So I am going to apply Holomatrix. Now you are going to get -- every time you start AE when you first do this, it's going to tell you that you need to turn off your OpenGL. I don't know this something they're going fix in the future or if just has to be this way, but it will disable the OpenGL for you and if you don't do it I have actually tried it and it does crash.


So it's very simple to turn it back on afterwards, so I am going to just click yes and they actually give you a message here how to enable the OpenGL once you are done, if you want to keep OpenGL working. Also by the way, I am in ADOBE AFTER EFFECTS CS 4. So we are all set Holomatrix is applied right away you can see I have got an extremely cool default setting, that's kind of like almost a ghostly kind of guy but here I have got I mean he looks like a Hologram already. I will just turn on that stuff behind him, you can see he is see through, and he looks perfect I love him. Now if you look over on the side here, where we have the footage it's turned into a composition so applying it, turned it to a composition. One of the key things you need to remember here is that if you want to remove it, you absolutely have to go in to this remove Holomatrix, click on that and you are back to normal again. If you try to delete it just the Holomatrix not going to work, so you don't want to that. So let's just reapply it. I am going to later select it again and here you go.



So just looking at this menu here you can apply and remove and then it's got a lot of presets, they are going to save you tons of time from digital signage and you click apply preset, it's got some various versions out that, ghost which is really cool I have been playing around with ghost, and I will just move around a little bit, you see how cool it is. Bad reception, great reception, oops sorry and then if I go over here in my effects you see Holomatrix created a ton of customizable and animateable things that we can do here from using a TV rolls, if you want roll it up the TV roll, freeze frame. It's just so many settings and they really do a good job on their website, when you purchase this of explaining what everything is going to be doing. So any way you have got tons of presets, if you want just some security camera look, pretty cool I think the first one is the green kind of security camera and we turn off the back ground, so you got this going, on really, really cool stuff.


One of the other things you need to remember is if you are working on a standard def or if you are working on 1080 P or 720, you need to choose which one you are doing and it will scale it applying scaling put just really cool stuff that you can do on the fly here, very excited about this one for future work, as I know it's going come in a super handy, and this you'll be doing sort of stable any way you can download a demo of it and just try out the different presets yourself and tinker with them. Like I said, I have really liked this ghost one for something that I am working on right now, its really , really cool. Anyway that's called Holomatrix. Let's take a look at the website redgaintsoftware and if you click on Holomatrix here it is, look at some of the cool , cool stuff that you can do it here. Goes over them all -- you can actually oh you can apply this to text as well I didn't go into that but you can apply it to text and it's really cool. Digital signs like as said Bad TV reception and look at this price right here 99 bucks. It's totally cheap, for what you get and I guarantee you that you will make your money back on this Holomatrix, it's going to save you tons of time and make you money.
