The “Crapper Scrapper’s” been booked!

 

Colorado police say this man — Donald Citron — has been stealing parts from public toilets in the Denver metro area.

 

WJW reports — the nickname comes from local authorities — who apparently couldn’t resist.

 

“They say he was stealing pipes, valves a other hardware from public restrooms, then selling the parts in scrapyards. They say that he hit a mall, hospital and several restaurants.”

 

And lest you feel the urge to laugh — KDVR says the commode caper cost the community thousands of dollars.

 

“It has affected businesses to where they've had to close down their entire restroom for days at a time just to be able to order the parts and get what they need to end. It's been a big impact to these people.”

 

According to KDVR — Citron would enter the public restrooms, shut off the water, and take the plumbing from the toilets. Apparently an employee saw him leave with parts sticking out of his bag. And now — 

 

“Citron is facing charges of burglary, theft and criminal mischief. Authorities say he’s behind 18 incidents since January.”
