Craigslist is an online classifieds and forum service that allows you to find just about anything you're looking for. From a job to a piece of furniture locally where you live. When you visit Craigslist for the first time, you'll see a very large list of US cities, US states, areas in Canada, Asia, Europe and more.
To make Craigslist work for you, you want to find the city closest to where you live. Since I live in San Francisco California, I'm going to click on California as of bay area. But you can also choose your city from those available in whatever state of country you live in.
Now, San Francisco Bay area doesn’t just mean San Francisco. When you visit the page, you'll see it’s broken down into areas like the city of San Francisco itself, South Bay, East Bay, Peninsula, North Bay and Santa Cruz. This is how most of the major cities work on Craigslist so if you live in the big city like Los Angeles you also have the options to narrow down your location by west side San Fernando Valley, etcetera. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t see your exact location available. Click on the area closest to you and see if you can pinpoint where you are.
