Several Pakistani policemen have been suspended after allegedly forcing a couple to parade naked through the streets as a form of punishment. According to reports, a 52-year-old man and a woman were arrested on the charges of adultery on July 27th. Another woman was apprehended with them, but it is not clear if she was forced to parade in the nude. Officials claim that the accused were already naked when arrested. According to BBC, witnesses watched as the man and woman walked to the police station naked and also saw the man being abused by police officials on his property. While the man claims he is “deeply scarred” by the incident, police believe that the accused were allegedly part of a prostitution ring.

Earlier in July, another Pakistani police officer, Asad Ali, was in news after reportedly shooting and killing his sister because he was unhappy about her wearing jeans. Ali referred to jeans as "men's clothes" and had previously warned his sister that if she wore them again he would kill her.
