The smell of vanilla, delicious, aromas and smell are supposed to be excellent memory jockers. A certain scent can be recognized by the hypothalamus, the part of the brain that controls memory and emotion and will magically take us back to that certain place or feeling. The scent of vanilla, reminds most of us of homemade cakes, cookies and other culinary delights will usually associate with the nurtured life of early childhood. While, this might not be the most romantic memory, it will relax and calm your loved one and hopefully you can make a new memory for the smell of vanilla to allude too.
