While the other recipe’s cooking, I’ve just got time to squeeze in one more recipe and this is a really quick one which makes a lovely little treat to give your cat every now and then and it’s called the Tuna and Marmite Milkshake which might sound pretty revoking to your meal but believe me, cats absolutely love it – the combination of the good-quality protein from the tuna fish and vitamins from the marmite and obviously the goodness to calcium from the milk.
It’s not something to feed too regularly and some cats get upset by milk so giving too much milk can upset their stomach but if your cat is fine with a bit of milk, then this is an ideal recipe to give them a bit of a special treat.
Now, to make quite a big 0:37 which you could then freeze or, again, if you got lots of cats, it’s ideal. You’ll need approximately half a pint of milk. You need one can of tuna fish like so, preferably in brine as opposed to oil and a little bit of good old marmite. This just adds the really meaty flavor the milkshake. Cats absolutely love it.
So, it’s very, very simple. All I’m going to do is pour everything into my blender jug so the milk, the tuna fish like so and about quarter of a teaspoon or so of marmite like so. We’re just going to stir that in. Just scrape the marmite off down there. Right, okay, and then we’re just simply going to pop that on the blender like so. Put the lid on and give it a few seconds of blending.
There you go. Some of the recipes I do for cats, you know, you think of all that as quite nice. Actually, I’ve call them my treats myself but that is not something that really appeals me but cats, I guarantee, will absolutely love it. So, when you’ve done that, simply pour out just a sort of tablespoon or so into your cat’s dish, serve that up and they’ll absolutely love it.
