One thing is I know my mother always told me to eat my fruits and vegetables. It turns out that fruits and vegetables are full of vitamin B. Vitamin B helps with your brain neurotransmitters and helps with your memory. There’s antioxidants in there that probably decrease the aging process and are probably cancer prevention, and by having nice fresh fruit as opposed to a processed food, you are actually living the healthy-age lifestyle.
That’s not the only one. You know, your mother always wanted to put you to bed early. Well, it turns out Americans don’t get enough sleep. You need at least six, maybe eight hours of uninterrupted sleep. The reason is because at night things happen with your body. It’s not a benign process. You release the melatonin, which lowers your blood pressure.
Its also anti-cancer, it’s also anti-inflammatory. You release the growth hormone, which is probably misnamed because it actually is a reparative hormone and this all occurs while you are sleeping. So, if you are not getting good night’s sleep, you know, you are not getting the beneficial effects from a biological standpoint.
