Lauren: A kitchen renovation can be a large and daunting task so you put it off, you put it off some more you may even put it off some more but when your floors are cracking and your cabinets are crumbling I say it’s time to get down to business.
Husband: We bought this house and probably the kitchen is the first thing we did. We had 3 kids our party has changed and pushed it off, now we’re ready to go.
Jeff: Now that’s a woman who wants to get rid of her kitchen right there.
Alright so it’s time to get rid of the soffits now we know that there’s plumbing in there. We know there’s ventilation in there and a good part of our reconstructing your kitchen is going to be taking care of all that so put your hand ring and then pull down very gently.
Now that is what I call opening up a— come on.
Husband: It’s great.
Wife: It’s great.
Lauren: The cabinets are in as well as those quartz countertops which means it’s time to install the backsplash.
Jeff: You hear the angels sing look at that. Wow. Now that’s modern.
Husband: Yes it is.
Lauren: We went from falling apart to looking smart. We knocked down the wall into the family room and removed the soffits and the pantry to create one large open and airy colonial kitchen.
Husband: I like the how they tipped it on the wall and just open up the family room to the kitchen. I also love they got rid of the soffits because they were from there from down to the end and getting rid of them has created so much space it’s unbelievable.
Wife: How about the color of the cabinets I love the hardware. It’s original.
Husband: I really like the wine cabinets and the different color and contrast, I don’t think we would have ever done on our own.
Wife: No, definitely not. It looks great and I love the glass.
Husband: I love the new sink.
Wife: This has to be I think one of my favorite things of a whole kitchen and the closed out back belt I love it and now we have new function of before our top didn’t work.
Husband: Last is the wine fridge it’s a great show piece it looks awesome and I have the honor of stocking it last night.
Wife: I love our new cook top and I’m not going to be hitting my head on this hood anymore.
Husband: Beyond the fact it just look really sharp like up against the copper I really like that. One of my favorite parts to this kitchen is the new countertops.
Wife: And how about the fact that they say their maintenance free all you have to do is wipe them down and so and that’s it no ceiling nothing and I also love the new backslash which I asked actually helped put out. To learn something new.
Husband: That’s right.
Wife: I really love that my name here it has a dimmer so it brightens up the red. How about the high hats that we have. It’s a perfect ambience I think for night to dim everything down.
