Rebecca Brayton: Gentle rainfall complements this South African province's warm summers and mild winters. Hi I'm Rebecca Brayton and welcome to watchmojo.com, and today we'll be checking out the climate of the Western Cape.
The climate on the coasts of the Western Cape is characteristically a maritime one moving further north in the province, the weather shifts to Mediterranean. This Mediterranean weather brings warm with a warmly and dry summers followed by cool and rainy winters. Winters in the inland occur in July and the average temperatures for that month are 68 degrees Fahrenheit, whereas summers in February sea temperatures on average of 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
Areas on the Coast and many valleys are unlikely to see frost. A strong south easterly wind nickname the Cape Doctor blows through the air clearing it pollution, hence the nickname. Although March and April see the most ideal autumn weather the Western Capes mild climate is standing year around.
