Hi! This is Mike Callahan, Dr. File Finder, with your butterscotch.com tutorial and cleaning up windows using TuneUp Utilities 2009.

Now, here I have TuneUp Utilities 2009 open. There’s the clean up windows tab. And I’m going to go on a different order and skip the first one here. The registry cleaner goes through and picks away any dead or useless entries in your registry so that your registry is more efficient. And in conjunction with the registry defrag, that’s also in TuneUp Utilities, you can get your registry in great shape. There’s a shortcut cleaner that goes through and removes shortcuts that are going nowhere. We all have those because we delete things and the shortcuts are left behind. And then there’s also when I’m installing manager that goes through and will help you to completely out and install programs installed on your computer. See, it brings up a list here.

And a nice feature that I like is it shows you the programs that were most recently installed, the largest programs, programs you have not used for a long time and so on. So, this can help give you some guidance and free enough space and the like. And the one I skipped over—one click maintenance and this is a complete check up that goes through the registry, gets rid of shortcuts, gets rid of junk files and even defragments your hard drive. It can do it on one click and it can do it automatically everyday, just to kind of keep your machine running smoothly in between times when you’re going to do full system maintenance. So, this is cleaning up Windows and that’s all there is to it.
