Audra Lowe: Summer is ending and Fall is just around the corner and that means new coats for the kids. So what's hot this season in outer wear for the younger set. Take a look.
Female Speaker: Winter is on the way and that means it's almost time to take the kids coat shopping, but while you want a warm, they want the latest styles.
Sheri Weiss: Kids want to be trendy. They want to have the hottest coat that there is. They want to stand out in a crowd. They want funky prints.
Female Speaker: We met up with Sheri Weiss of Rothschild Kid, the company that's been keeping kids warm and stylish since 1881. Their first trend this winter, well, it's red hot.
Sheri Weiss: We have a Lexi in a red ruffle wool coat. Ruffles are very hot. You can use it for dress, you can use it for school, very warm and Jeffry we have in an active jacket more or less for school, play, snowboarding. We have cellphone pockets piping. Red is the big trend to fall.
Female Speaker: Next up metallics to make your daughters sparkle and shine.
Sheri Weiss: We see Olivia and Chelsy in metallic jackets for fall. Silver and gold metallic are very hot trends and we also see sparkle threads for metallic as well. Satin fabrics, very shiny. Chelsy's jacket has great metallic thread through it and we used a satin base for the shell. Girls love shine and we also do a little tipped fur hood for added one.
Female Speaker: And for those more sporty than sparkly, bright colors will help them stand out in the crowd.
Sheri Weiss: We see Alex in a bright cobalt jacket, sporty yet facet. We have sleeves, we have neck in the middle. We have Olivia again with, we see a lot of rouge on bubbles in a nice light pink and on zip bright yellow sporty and midway actually. This is a reversible jacket so you get - wear it from on the outside as well.
Female Speaker: Finally for the fashionistas in your family, Sheri suggests them Faux suede sophistication.
Sheri Weiss: We see short versions and long versions. It's very soft to the touch. It as a teddy fur for lining to keep added warmth. We have a lot of again, embroidery, this one comes at a little purse to put all the little stuff. Toggles are very hot and grommets for us. This could be actually dress your coat or you can wear it to school and the short one is again play, school or dress up.
Female Speaker: So no matter what your kids' style there is something out there to keep them warm and cool, this winter season.
