Male Speaker: I am here at the Geneva Motor Show with Dave Lyon who is Chevrolet Designer, part of the team who brought us to this spark. Dave just take us through some of the design points of this car.

Dave Lyon: Sure I guess one of the things I want to point out is this is a very significant car for Chevrolet. It has a lot of drama to the design. You can see that's designed with the new Chevy Fernan, you have seen it on some of the other cars. Notably the North American, Malibu and the Global Chevy Cruise and now you can see a variation on that theme here on the Chevy Spark.

Male Speaker: Now this is part of the mini segment, how important is that for Chevrolet?

Dave Lyon: It is extremely critical. I mean Chevrolet, we want to be able to own this segment and this car is a significant step in being able to do just that. It's a fantastic piece of packaging, we have got a lot of design details in proportions that really make it feel outside of its normal class of vehicle. Most of the vehicles in this segment are extremely boxy or very flat sided and a lot of people to buy these vehicles, you know they buy them because this is what they can afford. We have really tried to get the highly sculptural very desirable vehicle at that low price point.

Male Speaker: Are there any other particular design points that you are proud of in this vehicle?

Dave Lyon: I think the stance of the vehicle, the fact that this really has the appearance of a three door with a functionality of a five-door. When we showed it in concept form the Chevy Beat, it was shown as a three-door and here is the production vehicle, and varied unless changed except it's more useful on daily basis. And also pointing on the interior we have got this fantastic little motorcycle style cluster that mounts onto the steering column. It's excellent for ergonomics, you know the cluster moves up and down with the wheel and it's just a delightful detail.

Male Speaker: Now you mentioned the concept cars. There were three concept cars from which the Spark came from wasn't it?

Dave Lyon: That's right. And this was both internally, when we talk to the public about it and there was actually an online poll, this really was the standout and so we worked very hard to bring it to market, to look as much like that. Their concept vehicle to be it as possible.

Male Speaker: And it's just going to be the start of a family of cars of Chevrolet in this direction?

Dave Lyon: It is I think last year at the Paris Show we showed the Chevy Cruise which is very significant, compact car and now this and we have more coming. We are going to have a fantastic Chevrolet model.
