Hi, this is Doctor Debra from topworkoutsecrets.com. I'm here again with another smoothie recipe for you. This one is the cherry berrylicious. It's nice if you can use fresh berries and fresh cherries but I'm using all frozen fruit. You don’t want to do too much of all frozen because it does have less nutritional value in it from being frozen. But it's okay to do it on this. You would not want to do it on a daily basis to use all frozen fruit and just not a good idea.
I actually thawed the cherries. So there is about a cup or so. To the cherries, I actually froze this summer. So some organic cherries and then I got about a cup of blackberries, frozen blackberries and a cup of frozen red raspberries. All right, a cup of raspberries, a couple cups blueberries and some water. That’s a lot of frozen fruit. Not quite a cup of water—
Add more water. And you need a little more water. Okay to make quite the smoothie, I hope it's done a lot of work. So again you see I'm using a vita mix but you have to use a vita mix. You just have to do one fruit at a time if you use just a regular blender. But it will work. And then I've got some romaine lettuce. I'm hoping the romaines lighten up in color that I'm not going to end up our brown smoothie. It's nice when it’s chocolate but not so nice in the smoothie.
Okay and a whole head of romaine. It kept our nice pretty berry color. Let’s give it a little taste test. It's good. You can smell the romaine but you can't really taste it. All right, all these nice dark berries in this one. So you’ve got a lot of fiber form the berries and the romaine, lots of minerals in the romaine lettuce and then lots of antioxidants in the cherries and all the berries. So, it's a really nice beautiful, healthy, delicious green smoothie. This one is the cherry berrylicious. You should be able to go to the sidebar and get the recipe and enjoy!
