Gabe Saglie: Yeah, stretch it.

Audra Lowe: And these are good vacations too.

Gabe Saglie: Fall is an interesting time in the travel industry. It is low season for some location. It's what called shoulder season for some spots, which means it's that in-between stage where people are not necessarily going. Prices are so good, but people don't always have the time to go.

Audra Lowe: And it's they call it shoulder season? I never heard that before.

Gabe Saglie: It's called the shoulder season. Yeah.

Audra Lowe: Now, the first location here is the Caribbean, and please tell me you are not going to have us like swing in from trees in the hurricane season, because that's not a fun vacation.

Gabe Saglie: Well, no doubt, it's hurricane season. It starts to get active toward the late summer, early fall, but that's when really some of the most dramatic price drop happen in the Caribbeans. We are talking literally 60%, 70% off.

Audra Lowe: But you are taking a chance on it. I think we should go.

Gabe Saglie: We are taking a chance. Travel insurance is a good idea when you go to the Caribbean, Bermuda, Eastern Mexico particularly. It's about $70, $80 on top of your trip usually to cover things like weather phenomena. Cruises are a good idea, because these ships will simply change their route depending on the oncoming storms. If you are willing to switch up your itinerary, your protocol a little bit.

Audra Lowe: Save your money. Go buy the parachute and you're going to land, right?

Gabe Saglie: Yeah, it's really a chance to take advantage of some phenomenal price drops just how to consider travel insurance. So do a cruise and then you are rather safer.

Audra Lowe: Yeah, keep it safe. Now Europe, we can also go to Europe as well. Any particular spot in Europe or you're saying just get back pack and roll?

Gabe Saglie: Well, yeah this year Euro is a little bit weaker against the dollar. Although, don't kid yourself. Your cappuccino is still going to be a little costly, your cab ride, museum ticket. Some countries do offer some great value. Now Spain, Italy, Ireland, and Iceland are offering some pretty phenomenal stretching of the dollar. This is again a shoulder season in Europe. The Europeans are not vacationing and folks in the mainland US are really waiting for the holiday season to go to Europe. So there is lot availability now.

Audra Lowe: That's interesting.

Gabe Saglie: For as little as 699 proportion you can do airfare to New York and a week in a five star hotel in Madrid for example. So look for these vacation packages to really help you save some Euros.

Audra Lowe: Okay, now let's go to Vegas. Good deals there?

Gabe Saglie: Yeah, it's low season to Vegas these days pretty much anytime you go. Definitely prices do drop dramatically in summer, but we are still seeing some great pricing and falling in even early winters. So look at these four and five star resorts. There is a place called the Luxury Suites which is sort of the private, very posh property next to the MGM Grand. You get dipped in all of the amenities at the MGM Grand when you stay in a beautiful luxury state of art suite for like $79 a night.

Audra Lowe: And what's your favorite place to travel this time of year?

Gabe Saglie: I love Southern California, because the crowds are gone but the weather is still nice. I like the New York City up to Boston, because the humidity is gone and the crowds are little thinner as well.

Audra Lowe: That's the magic word right there. The humidity is gone. I hate the humidity.

Gabe Saglie: Yeah, alright.
