Learn how to set the image quality function using the Canon G10

Setting up the camera’s picture quality is very, very important. The picture quality is not set to the best the camera can produce by default. So, what I would do is just press the Function” button. And you can do this in any mode.
And go ahead and move down. Use the Down navigation button. So, move down to this icon and you have three options for picture quality. Picture quality is not resolution. It has nothing to do with the number of pixels that are captured. It has to do with the amount JPEG compression put on the image. So, by default, it’s set to Fine. In my opinion, I like it to be on Super Fine, so I’ll just move over to the Super Fine. And while this doesn’t allow me to take nearly as many pictures on the memory card, it is a better quality and for me that’s what’s important.
So, this is how you set the picture quality in the camera, press Set to confirm.
