Now the news, so let’s take a look back at what’s been happening since our last show. Product launches which featured heavily in January continued to make the headlines throughout to February and into March. Sony launch the H50, a compact high zoom camera, part of their cyber shot range. It boasts a 9.1 megapixel sensor and a 15x optical zoom giving, Sony claim picture enlargement to A3. Also they launch the Alpha 300, and the Alpha 350 DSLR, coming in at 10.2 and 14.2 megapixels, respectively. These are mid range cameras between the entry level A200 and the top end A700. Sony then showcase a mystery, yet to be named full framed flagship DSLR model coming in at a whopping 24.6 megapixels. So watch out for that one and I hope you have plenty of memory cards at the ready. Ever struggled with white balance? Well, struggle no longer. Sarconic have introduced this C500 color meter, that also comes with an optional pocket wizard radio trigger module. Great you all think, but wait till you see the prize is a bit scary at around 700 quid. So you might wanna stick with your camera and photo editing software for now. Xray have introduce color monkey, an all in one color control solution for designers and photographers, it’s designed to get fast molitive printer and projector calibration, is portable and offers color capture from any surface. It’s price at 375 pounds and is available to pre order with shipments expected in early April. Sigma had announced that they’re introducing a 50 millimeter F1.4 prime lens. But what would be interesting to see here is how this lens compares to the very popular and highly acclaimed Nikon and Cannon offerings that are already well established in the market place. Both these lenses are priced around the 200 pound mark and as yet, Sigma had not confirmed a price or availability. So that’s one to look out for. On more personal news, thanks for the auto cue guys.
