Buzzword Frenzy is a word guessing party game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. If you have ever played games like catchphrase you will feel right at home. The idea of this app is to provide entertainment at parties and always have a game you can play. The app comes with many different features and game types. The 3 different game types teams can play are Hot Potato, Sprint which involves clearing as many words as possible, and Time Trials how fast teams can clear words. Once a game type is selected, the app then gives players a selection of categories to choose from and offers plenty of options.
Once going, a player must get their team to guess the word and if they do, the player can then pass the device to the next player. If a word is not known, players can pause the game and pass on a word to get a new one. In Hot Potato, if the timer runs out on a player, the other team gets a point. This game is really addicting with social parties and fits perfectly in with its wide variety of categories.
If you enjoy the fun ice-breaking game Catch phrase, you will love this game. It has everything Catch Phrase offers and it will always be accessible. Offered for about ten percent of the actual handheld game, it seems like a reasonable purchase to me. I recommend checking it out, there are other similar games in the app store, but this is my personal favorite out of all I've seen.
