Nessa Wrafter: I’m with Mallory from Shiseido who’s going to talk us through not only the skin preparation, the entire make up range on how to achieve a perfect look for your wedding day.
Mallory Stewart: The most important thing that you have got to remember is skin preparation. People always think about the actual day itself and just doing your make up. These are actually prep skill skin so your skin looks perfect. First of all, we start off with cleansing the skin. Making sure those notes are out of pollution. Making sure the skin is nice and clean and fresh. The next thing that we are going to do after cleansing is we are going to soften the skin. People normally use a toner but at Shiseido we use a softener. And what a softener does is like giving your skin a pint of water. It extremely hydrates and then it makes your moisturizer penetrate faster into the skin.
The next thing that we are going to do is moisturize the skin. This is very light moisturizer. For a wedding say you do not want anything that is going to be too heavy and greasy on the face. This is a very light moisturizer with an SPF as well. So what we are going to do now is use a little bit of powder. And the difference with Shiseido powder to other powders on the market; this Shiseido is a Japanese company and Japanese powder is the finest in the world so it’s really ground down so it’s non existent so it’s not going to make you look flat and mat on your skin. It’s going to look very natural. We do need to use powder so your foundation does not evaporate and ends up looking a little bit patchy which it won’t anyway because we have used the primer underneath but the powder is just going to cease it so you do not have to worry all day. So now we are going to be defining the face which basically means we’re going to define your brows.
You have beautiful eye brows anyway. We are just going to put a little bit of color through just to give them a little bit more definition and then we are going to start with your eyes and try out some of our new eye colors. So we’ll just use a small anchored brush, pick up a little bit of a pale look color and then starting at the bottom of the brow, just blend them through. So you do not want to look like grouchy ma. I’m not giving you a big heavy brow. So the next thing that we are going to do is use a highlighter and a base. Now these are our new hydro powder eye shadows but for a wedding, that great because this is creamed powder creams are waterproof so they are not going to bulge and just use them with your fingers; use them with a sponge to pat kind of like what they come with and this is just going to be used all over the eye lids as a base and it would double up as a highlighter as well. Then we are going to use the black defining mascara and defining in Shiseido mascaras means it does a little bit of everything. It does a little bit of volumizing, little bit of lengthening, it’s quite natural at the same time.
You do not want to look washed out so I do not think you are going to look too orangey or too mush because in the photographs it will look a lot more natural. So what we’ve done we put a little bit of color on’s to the cheeks. It looks quite strong at the moment so what I’m doing, just take in a little amount of powder and then I’m just blending that over the top. What it does is it gives the cheeks a really nice soft air brush look. Next thing is just a little bit of bronzer.
You just want to look really healthy in the day. And at Shiseido; two of our new colors are the bronzers. They would have been out previously before as sunset glow and terracotta glow now why we have launched them again is they are going to be coming in parts of our make up from now on so you’ll always be out to get them. So here we have got sunset glow which is the more peach version which is why you’d naturally catch the sun. Number two, is slight color on the bridge of the nose, number three is cheek bones. So now the final thing which is going to be lipstick and again through out the day, just something that’s going to be really nice and easy to talk part with those one. Okay and that sounds we’re done. What do you think?
Nessa Wrafter: Look at me.
Mallory Stewart: Look at you.
Nessa Wrafter: I look like I’ve been eating my greens. I’m so healthy.
