What I’ve just played is a turn-back lick in the key of CM of 36251 lick. And this lick starts on the end of two. So I’ll do the first two and a half beats here [demonstration]. So we’re doing nine on the end of two, seven, eight, nine, eight [demonstration]. All right, now onto the next two beats, we’ve got [demonstration] six, nine, seven, 10. So let’s do that much. One, two, a one.
[Demonstration]
All right, so next, we’ve got [demonstration] a triplet thing followed by a two eight notes [demonstration]. So, I’m going nine with the second finger and you can’t—if this fingering that I’m using is kind of weird for you, feel free to experiment with your own. This is how I felt the lick, felt the most comfortable, so if—like I said, try to experiment with a different fingering if you want to and maybe you’ll come up with something better.
So we’ve got nine, 10, 10, eight, 10 and resolve to nine here at E. So we’ve got B, F, A which is part of a G9 chord and it resolves to E, the third of the CM chord. So let’s do the whole lick. One, two, a one.
[Demonstration]
And that’s the whole thing. That’s a 36251 progression in the key of CM.
