Best Galleries in Nantucket

One of my favorite things about Nantucket is the art scene. Today Plum picks some of
the island’s hottest galleries. Come with us so we’re going to show you what the art scene
here is really about.

So we’re going to go on the Graficas gallery which is very cool, it’s all contemporary art.
Let’s go inside and take a look. You’re allowed to touch them.

These paintings are so softly done, they are painted with hot wax. It’s truly an amazing
scene.

Our next stop is Dane Gallery owned and operated by Bob and Jane Dane. They
specialize in hand blown glass. Jane was just telling me that these are her husband’s
goblets and they’re featured in the Smithsonian.

Our next stop is here at Quidley and Company Gallery. There are many paintings about
marine life as well as still lights. A real reminder of what Nantucket is all about. I love
this one.

Here we are at our last Plum pick gallery, the East End Gallery. East End Gallery has the
mixture of painting and of antiques, various paintings, the Hungarian bench from 1890.

You know they say that art imitates life and the best things in life are Plum,
