Best Bras After Breast Reconstruction

Lisa: Our next dilemma is the more serious for Sivan. Finding the right
bra after breast surgery can be very frustrating but Susan may just
have the answer.

Sivan: My name is Sivan. Three months ago I had a preventative
mastectomy with immediate reconstruction because in my family, I
am high-risk for breast cancer and ovarian cancer. I noticed a lot of
changes in my breasts, faced in a different place on my chest wall.
The biggest thing that I noticed is that my breasts do not slope as
naturally anymore. Their projection is different and now, they just
kind of pop off my chest. I think I am 34B, maybe smaller. I like to
see a bra that makes me feel supported and secure, that makes me
looks like the way I did before.

Susan: What I see here is there is a little bit of gapping going on and the
reason why this is occurring is because the back is riding up. So,
when the back is actually hold down, you see that this secures a
little bit better and you do not know this quite as much.

Lisa: Sivan, thanks for joining us.

Sivan: Thank you.

Lisa: And Susan, tell us about what you did for her.

Susan: What a courageous young woman first off. [Voice Overlap]
Amazing.

Lisa: Absolutely. Yeah, I think that’s great.

Susan: To have the enhancements or the reconstruction done right at that
point in time is so important for every woman. What happens when
sometimes you have a breast enhancement is they can’t cover all
the volume that has been removed for her. So, what they do is put
in—implant but we can push a little more center which tends to
make the breasts look a little more natural. So, a plunging bra like
this is terrific. We also went down to a 32 because she was wearing
a 34 and many doctors do not know when they do surgery breast
reconstruction, do not know about bra sizing. So, that is why you
should really come see a bra expert. We help women whether if
they are looking at reconstruction, reduction or even getting -- if
someone’s different side-to-side which happens to a lot of women.

Lisa: And that’s --
