Lauren: In the world of real estate you know what they say location, location, location and what can be better than a house near the beach but when Guy and Bill bought their house, they knew their kitchen would have to get a whole lot better so it could match their beachy neighborhood.
Tell us a little bit about what you like to see in your new kitchen?
Guy: Well I love to see a little bit more cabinetries so that it’s a little bit more functional something more traditional that goes with where we’re located just the beach.
Lauren: Bill and Guy’s beach cottage kitchen is moving right along, our white cabinets are all in place and now it’s time to brighten up the space with a really great paint color.
It’s calm, it’s serene, it feels very beach inspired.
Bill: I’m loving it.
Lauren: You’ve got so many options within one shade.
Lauren: Where you could really find the exact blue that fits with your scheme.
Guy: Yeah exactly.
Jeff: Slide it in. Remember you guys, you got cash, you upgrade it now so now you can cook for more people, more efficient look at that what do you think?
Bill: Prefect, perfect, perfect.
Jeff: Look over here you got this goliath of a fridge where I got to recall remember there’s a bathroom here.
Bill: That’s right.
Jeff: Look at that snug as a bug in a rug.
Bill: Nice fit.
Lauren: This beach cottage haven kitchen came out absolutely beautiful and in total this renovation came to $46,000 with a breakdown white recess cabinets, blue pearl granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, gray driftwood flooring, multicolored glass back splash, the exterior door, new lighting and all the hard work that went in to it.
Bill: You know we started with just one wall of cabinet here and look at this we’ve got the…
Guy: And think about all the things we have that could fill up these things. These cabinets.
Bill: And having these white cabinets to the beach house too it just makes it feel airy and light in here and with the blue in the floor that’s sort of like the board walk. I mean I really feel like, I’m at the beach in the kitchen.
Guy: Yeah it’s really wonderful.
Bill: This blue pearl granite is just a perfect for down here at the beach and it blends with everything.
Guy: Now someone can work here preparing food, cleaning up and we have a place where we can sit and eat if we want or if we have company we can take away the stools and have a buffet.
Bill: And then the tile you and Lauren picked out.
Jeff: Yeah that’s absolutely beautiful. It picks up the not only the weight from the cabinet but some of the colors from the granite countertops is really unbelievable and one thing that really is missing but not missed is the bathroom. The toilet actually not even a bathroom.
Now we have a beautiful refrigerator, we have a dishwasher here while someone can be over here cooking. Now it’s like you can be doing that and I could be doing this and we’ll never even see each other it’s great, it’s great.
Guy: That’s right. The other thing is we don’t have a flowered wallpaper on the ceiling anymore on every wall. It’s this color Lauren picked out. The blue just matches you know, it picks out that little piece of the tile that you guys picked out and it really does with the rest of the house.
