Fans lined the block for band members AJ, Howie, Kevin, Nick and Brian who were visibly emotional on the day that also marked their 20th anniversary. Band member Kevin Richardson. SOUNDBITE: Kevin Richardson, saying (English) "What a beautiful day. What another beautiful way to celebrate 20 years together." The Backstreet Boys were formed in 1993 in Orlando, Florida, and have sold more than 130 million albums to date making them one the most successful boy bands of all time. They had numerous global hits, including this song, "I want it that way" that topped the charts in 25 countries. But, there is more to come, announced band member Nick Carter. SOUNDBITE: Nick Carter, saying (English) "I encourage everyone here to let the world know, at this very moment, go home and let the world know that: Backstreet is back .... and we aren't going anywhere!" The Backstreet Boys are launching a new album later this year and will kick off a world tour in May.
