Azkend is an elimination game for the iPhone and iPod Touch that has made its way over from the online computer game world. The story is as follows: The relic your archaeological team found in Far Asia was more powerful than you thought. Now you are trying to reach the Temple of Time to return the relic and lift the curse from the land. Each few levels have you unlocking pieces of different talismans that will aid in your game play by adding different features. The game is all about dragging your finger across similar pieces and eliminating them. The more the player is able to eliminate in one go, the better the bonuses will be.
Azkend is one of those games that really didn't take much thought, but kept you going again and again with its beautiful animations and captivating sounds. The game really presents itself well and is a prime example of how sounds and graphics can affect our view of a game. The art itself is also excellent just adding more to the presentation and showing how much time and work went into making it good. The game itself I found to be a bit easy, though it picks up a bit in the later levels as expected.
Those looking for a great time killer that doesn't take too much thought but will keep you entertained while you wait for the bus to stop, check this one out. It's got the right amount of game play and aesthetics to keep you coming for more. Get it now while it's still on sale. The price it's being offered for is really a good deal.
