IMAGE: LA Weekly BY JASMINE BAILEY Autopsy results show exactly how former Los Angeles police officer Christopher Dorner died— a single gunshot to the head. CNN: Police have not yet confirmed how that gunshot wound was inflicted — but in a Friday press conference they did imply it might have been self-inflicted. “While we are still compiling the info and putting our reports together the information that we have right now seems to indicate that the wound that took Christopher Dorner’s life seems to be self-inflicted.” CBS News reports Dorner was held up in a cabin near big bear lake until late Tuesday. He was exchanging fire with police officers when they reportedly fired tear gas into the cabin. The cabin then caught fire. It was reported that was because the tear gas was flammable and Dorner fired his gun, but those reports have not been confirmed. ABC: On Thursday Dorner’s charred remains were positively identified.   USA Today reports —The search for Dorner began last week after he announced... “... his plan to seek violent revenge for being dismissed from the LAPD in 2009 after accusing another officer of brutalizing a civilian.” He is reportedly responsible for killing four people, including the daughter of an LADP captain, her fiancé and two sheriff’s deputies— one during the cabin shootout.
